Therapists for college students near Indianapolis, IN
Hello! Since obtaining my Masters in Social Work from IUPUI, I have been an individual, family and school-based therapist working with clients of all ages ranging from 3-years-old and up. I have worked with behavioral problems, school-based struggles, addictions, trauma and abuse, depression, anxiety, marital/relationship struggles, mood disorders, counseling before geriatric surgery, self-esteem issues, parenting, grief and loss, clients involved with DCS and probation, and adjusting to life’s changes. I utilize a trauma-focused approach that draws from tenets of strengths-based approaches, CBT, DBT and solution-focused techniques. I believe an important aspect of counseling is a trusting therapeutic relationship. I focus on a non-judgmental and accepting approach as I work to get to know you so that you feel confident and comfortable expressing feelings. Having a good connection with a therapist can help create the foundation for effective change and progress in the counseling experience. With a strong therapeutic relationship, we can work together as a team to work through whatever it is you are facing. You do not have to go through life’s struggles alone. Contact me today to get started!

I have been in private practice since 1995, providing mental health counseling to undergrad and graduate students who may have difficulties living away from home, strenuous academic schedules, trouble making friends and fitting in, as well as stress related to dissertation and associated exams. When the relatively brief nature of on-campus counseling isn’t enough, students appreciate the easy access and privacy of online counseling through the Google Meet app.

It takes a lot of strength and bravery to reach out for help. My approach is relationship-centered, as I believe healing and change take place when we feel connected to others. I truly admire the courage clients have in sharing their story and being vulnerable with me. Using a holistic and strengths-based approach, my hope is that clients feel connected, heard, valued, and worthy. It's an honor for me to witness a client's authentic voice, to see their dedication to making changes, and to witness them thrive. I'd love to support you. Coming alongside clients in collaboration, I believe a flexible approach that best fits the individual's needs is most effective. I have extensive experience in helping those with trauma find healing. I also work with young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed, those coping with a life transition, or who are coping with grief and loss. I'd love to meet you and offer support.
I believe healing is like the ocean—sometimes calm, sometimes stormy, but always full of possibility. My passion is walking alongside people who are navigating the waves of neurodivergence and trauma, offering a safe shore where you can pause, breathe, and feel understood.
