As a licensed mental health counselor, I work with adult clients to address anxiety, depression, and life stressors. Each person has their own strengths, and I enjoy helping clients work with their individual tools to find sustainable balance. From years of experience working in outpatient therapy, I have developed an eclectic approach to counseling- pulling from ACT, mindfulness based, solution focused, and nature based orientations. I specialize in treating anxiety related disorders, but work with many clients struggling with mood disorders, previous trauma, and difficult life transitions. I understand that getting started with therapy or working with a new counselor can be a daunting process, and strive to create an environment in which clients feel supported and collaborative. My approach to treatment is to create a space that is supportive and empathetic so that the client will be in a place to build rapport, explore issues that are interfering with their quality of life, and develop a better sense of goals and the means to reach them. I operate from a Strength-based and Cognitive-behavioral therapy lens with elements of other modalities. I am a strong believer in using mindfulness when approaching issues like anxiety and depression. I see the client as a person affected by the systems that make up their lives. I understand the importance of family work as a part of the process of helping an individual. The most important aspect of treatment is the relationship between the therapist and the client. Without trust, it is impossible to get any real work done. When you walk into my office you can expect a space that is free of judgment and completely client-centered.

Hi! I’m Jocelyn, a psychiatric nurse practitioner passionate about supporting women and anyone who identifies with womanhood through life’s ups and downs. I specialize in helping clients manage ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I have a special interest in perinatal mental health. College and young adulthood can bring so many transitions—new responsibilities, shifting identities, and sometimes overwhelming stress. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can feel seen and supported. In our sessions, I combine medication management with brief, solution-focused therapy to help you better understand your mind, build coping skills, and feel more balanced day to day. I especially enjoy working with BIPOC, Latinx, and LGBTQ+ students and young adults who are exploring growth, healing, and self-discovery.

My clinical work uses many therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, expressive therapy, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness tools. I am readily available for a complimentary connection via email, phone, online or in-person to discuss my practice further.
