Licensed in New York and Massachusetts- I bring 20 years of experience working with college students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Together, I've helped students navigate unexpected life changes, feelings of grief and loss, anger, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, spiritual questions, identity exploration and trauma as well as the many other complex emotions and challenges that life can bring. No matter what has brought you to this place, my goal is to build a trusting and supportive relationship where we can explore your experience, your strengths and your motivation for change. I take a wholehearted approach to your psychological, emotional and relational well-being, and I seek to honor your whole person by exploring the integrated aspects of your environment and other important factors that have played an active role in shaping your exterior and interior life. Together we will pursue deeper questions and connections related to your whole self including your emotional and physical health, your history, your relationships, your work, your habits and your interests among the other dimensions that make you uniquely you. Currently, I offer licensed mental health therapy through confidential Telehealth, an alternative to in-person therapy that helps you save time, money and energy while providing opportunities for you to make progress and achieve significant milestones. I look forward to being part of this first, courageous step towards change and helping you become the best version of you.

Are you seeking to understand yourself better? Are you looking to make sense of your relationship dynamics? Do you wish things were better, but you don't know how to get there? You CAN feel empowered by an expanding of your understanding, gathering insight, and educating the choices you make in how you decide to live your life. I work with couples, and adults to help make sense of obstacles, understand how relationship histories effect life today, and become more comfortable with themselves. This is done in an atmosphere where you are accepted for who you are. We can discuss your goals. Many people feel uncomfortable considering therapy as an option for themselves. It can be difficult asking for help, believing that asking for help means we are inadequate in some way. In a do-it-yourself culture, reaching out to others can cause us to feel like we are less than, but trying to meet our own needs is actually a strength. My clients often report that they have gained more insight into their lives, that they feel more at home within themselves and more capable of handling life's difficulties as they inevitably arise. Couples leave my office feeling like they understand themselves and their partner more clearly, and report greater relationship satisfaction.

Hi. I am a clinical social worker/therapist who has been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. Throughout this time, I have worked in a variety of settings with children, teens, young adults, parents and families. I have specialized in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to sexual abuse, sexual assault, childhood neglect, physical abuse, partner abuse, and traumatic grief and loss. In addition to my trauma focused work, I really enjoy working with college-aged students and the many wonders and struggles that come along with this time and age. I work with students who are experiencing a range of issues from anxiety, depression, questioning identity, family conflict, difficulty with the adjustment to school, social struggles and/or in need of future and career guidance. I am trained in a variety of techniques and pull from each of them to provide an individualized approach that is collaborative as well as strength based for each client. I look forward to connecting and discussing whether we would be a good fit for working together. Please note that at this time, I primarily have day time appointments available and offer sessions via telehealth.

The journey towards self-discovery is a valuable and worthwhile endeavor, deserving of the effort required to connect with one's authentic self. I believe in the inherent capacity for individuals to thrive and undergo meaningful personal growth. Throughout our work together we will create an environment where vulnerability is embraced, challenging conversations occur, and discomfort is acknowledged as a catalyst for growth and change, as we explore and unravel learned patterns that may no longer serve you. My therapeutic approach is characterized by flexibility, adapting to your unique needs and preferences. I highly value your feedback, ensuring that our collaboration is a dynamic and responsive process. Grounded in an intersectional understanding of trauma, neurodiversity, and systemic oppression, I aim not only to delve into your internal world but also to consider the impact of external factors on your well-being. Therapy with me involves taking the time to connect with your joys, struggles, history, and hopes, facilitating a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of yourself. Focusing on complex trauma and neurodiversity, I have a profound appreciation for the richness and complexity of people's stories. I am committed to supporting your growth and change while acknowledging and welcoming all facets of your identity. Furthermore, I am dedicated to my own ongoing learning on social justice topics and anti-racism, recognizing the importance of understanding my own identities (both privileged and marginalized) to create an inclusive and empathic therapeutic environment. I believe that my work as a therapist is not just about individual growth but empowering my clients to recognize and dismantle the damaging and broken systems in their lives. As the therapeutic relationship is central to our work and not every therapist is going to be the best fit for you, I encourage you to take advantage of my 15 minute free consultation. This way we can discuss what you are looking for from therapy and I can answer any questions you might have about starting therapy with me. I look forward to hearing from you!

Feeling stuck in your relationships—whether with friends, partners, or even yourself? It’s common to feel overwhelmed by misunderstandings, anxiety about caring for others, or the pressure to “have it all together.” For many students, relationships shift fast: new independence, long-distance friendships, the challenge of dating while studying, or balancing your own needs with others’. I work with students who… • find themselves repeating the same argument or feeling misunderstood in a partnership • struggle to connect emotionally or feel distant from friends • worry they’re always giving more than they receive • feel unsure about who they are when they’re in a relationship • want healthier boundaries and more confidence in saying “me too” Together, we’ll create a space where you can slow down, explore how you relate, and build the skills to communicate clearly, be seen, and feel supported, not just in your relationships, but in your life. Because the most important relationship you’re building right now is with you. If you’re ready to find a more grounded, authentic connection—with others and yourself—let’s talk.

I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, self-esteem, and personality disorders; I also have the unique niche of working researchers/academics as well as those who have lived abroad. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a researcher at Harvard Medical School, University of Pennsylvania, and as a Fulbright scholar in Budapest, Hungary, studying psychotherapeutic interventions for anxiety disorders and personality disorders. My background as an academic researcher also has shaped my approach, allowing me to connect with and support clients from diverse backgrounds in a meaningful way! I offer a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel truly heard and understood. Whether you're seeking clarity on what drives you, or navigating the everyday challenges that life brings, my goal is to support you in a way that feels safe and validating. Life can be tough, and our minds often create barriers that make it hard to move forward. Through therapy, my aim is to help you work through the complexities of being human - helping you better understand yourself and find ways to cope with the unique challenges of living in today’s world. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, depression, and self-esteem, including couples therapy. **Teletherapy only. My approach to therapy has a strong focus on mindfulness, self-compassion and self-care. Additionally, I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and addressing cognitive distortions when working with Anxiety and/or Depression. I utilize a very structured approach to therapy with opportunity for input and feedback. My goal is to remind clients that they are doing so much better than they give themselves credit for, but to also give them tools and coping skills to take with them throughout life. I believe that by creating more space for self-compassion, we can improve many of our negative feelings and behaviors.
