As a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to transforming patients’ lives, I work primarily with emerging adults (20- and 30-somethings) who are navigating life transitions, relational challenges, and low self-esteem, as well as symptoms of anxiety, depression, and OCD. This life stage comes with many unique challenges and transitions, so my mission is to assist you in identifying your patterns and strengths, while introducing strategies to help you move closer to your goals. In taking this relational approach, I also aid in setting boundaries and building secure attachment to allow for more meaningful relationships. In every session, I balance open-ended exploration of concerns with the introduction of tangible tools and skills to manage symptoms and reduce distress. Therapy is a collaboration, and I strive to meaningfully support you in ways that are tailored to your individual needs. I understand that starting therapy can be intimidating, which is why I offer a warm and compassionate space so you can bring your full self into sessions. My holistic, person-centered approach to care draws from various therapeutic modalities while remaining compassionate and recognizing the structural barriers to mental health. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), couples and group therapy, and attachment-oriented methods. A deep curiosity and care for people started me along the path to therapy. Working in a university career counseling center and volunteering with various social justice organizations fueled my desire to walk alongside people as they work toward their goals, while incorporating my passion for equity and justice. Mental health doesn’t exist in a vacuum, so I bring the awareness that numerous internal and external factors contribute. Outside the office, I love visiting museums and galleries, reading, cross-stitching, and listening to comedy podcasts. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and foraging – there are a shocking amount of edible plants, even in NYC!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than ten years of experience, I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, identity questions, attachment concerns, relationship challenges, and other personal and relational difficulties. My work is grounded in meeting you exactly where you are, honoring what you've lived through, and helping you move toward a greater sense of wholeness. Whatever brings you to therapy, you can expect a partner who is both competent and genuinely invested in your healing. I believe that when people feel truly accepted, they can begin to understand the challenges they face and find their way toward a greater inner healing. I look forward to walking that journey together with you. Healing the self so that you achieve a fuller and more realized life is what drives my work. That conviction is what draws me to psychodynamic therapy, which uses the relationship between therapist and patient as a meaningful vehicle for change. When the therapeutic relationship itself feels safe and honest, real transformation becomes possible. Within that relational foundation, I draw from a range of approaches to meet your individual needs, including person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and supportive therapy. The modalities that guide our sessions will always be chosen based on your unique story, family history, and cultural background. My style is open, honest, and respectful, and the environment I aim to create is one where you feel seen, not categorized. What you bring into the room shapes where we go together. My path to becoming a therapist began with a population I care about deeply: poor and marginalized immigrants who needed counseling in their own language, often Spanish, and who found it difficult to transition from speaking with a clergyman to speaking with a psychotherapist. As a Franciscan Priest, I recognized that I could bridge that gap, and so I pursued licensure as a clinical social worker specifically to serve that community. This experience deepened my commitment to culturally sensitive, person-centered care and instilled in me a profound respect for the role of spirituality and culture in a person's inner life. Every patient I work with today benefits from that awareness — an understanding that healing doesn't happen in isolation from who someone is, where they come from, or what gives their life meaning. Deepening my spiritual life is something I return to regularly, alongside time shared with friends over a good meal. Staying physically active each week is also important to me, a practice I find as grounding as it is energizing.

We are a group private practice located in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan. We offer individual, couples, and group therapy, as well as trauma treatment using EMDR. We are proudly LGBTQ+ affirmative and specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, issues related to race and identity, and more.
My work in counseling psychology emerged from being an artist. While earning my BFA at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, I was invited into my colleagues’ lives and learned to share their experiences through their lenses and perceptions. Graduate training at NYU sharpened this insight to bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic process. I provide feedback and reflection—infused with a dose of humor—in a warm, safe, and trusting atmosphere. My approach is both interactive and direct. I ask my clients to challenge themselves to be completely open and honest and share in a way that might feel like they’re ‘telling on themselves.’ Significant change and healing can only really begin with the whole truth. Believing strongly that the integration between mind and body leads to greater mental health, I encourage clients to incorporate physical activity and other treatment modalities: yoga, art, working out, running, massage, pets, acupuncture, meditation, medication, vacation, etc.
Diabetes-Focused Psychotherapy takes a holistic approach combining traditional talk therapy with diabetes education and management help. It addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of living life with diabetes while still addressing other non-diabetes-related life problems. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Diabetes Educator and have personal experience live with Diabetes over the past 44 years of my life. My private practice helps clients of all ages and their families manage all aspects of diabetes and the many diverse cognitive, behavioral, and emotional issues that come with all types of Diabetes. Along with the impact diabetes has on individuals and couples, diabetes is a family illness and can harm all family members. I work with parents and their children to manage the difficulties of growing up with diabetes.
I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Manhattan. After finishing a Masters of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania, I completed a four year post-graduate program at the William Alanson White Institute, a psychoanalytic institute in New York City. In my practice, I work with people who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals who are interested in improving their understanding of themselves or an aspect of their lives, or who want to be better able to make choices that lead to a sense of fulfillment. My goal is to provide a warm and collaborative relationship in which these topics can be explored. I believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is based on trust and can help bring about growth and change. I offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists in private practice and as part of the William Alanson White Institute's Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. I am also an Associate Editor for the academic journal Contemporary Psychoanalysis.

Psychotherapy lays the emotional groundwork that leads to a more happy and satisfying life. Many people think of psychotherapy, especially some kinds of traditional psychotherapy, as one-sided: the person in therapy talks and the therapist listens. But effective psychotherapy – therapy that heals – works because of the unique relationship that develops between the therapist and the person in therapy. I provide an environment that, because it is safe and non-judgmental, allows the person in therapy to open up in new and often unexpected ways and to experience and express his or her deepest thoughts and feelings. I use more than one therapeutic discipline, but my approach is ultimately tailored to the needs of the person I am working with. I help people become more emotionally self-aware so that they can experience greater self-esteem and satisfaction in life, better deal with depression, and cope with the anxiety that so often interferes with their sense of well-being. In addition to psychotherapy, I am a certified hypnotherapist and offer hypnotherapy to the people I work with. I am also available for hypnotherapy referrals as an adjunct from other clinicians. For safety concerns I am currently working online and by phone.
If you are experiencing frequent worry, sadness, insomnia, grief, or work and relationship stress, therapy can help you reach your goals and live a more satisfying and fulfilling life. Through a supportive and collaborative environment, you can learn skills to help you deal with difficult life circumstances and create lasting positive change. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy, which is an active form of therapy that can help you develop the tools to better understand and manage your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I take an integrative approach to therapy for adults and older adults. My work centers on helping you navigate anxiety, depression, relational trauma, and the often-disorienting weight of life transitions. Whether you're grieving a loss, stumbling through the fog after an impactful change, or simply wondering "how did I get here?" — you don't have to figure it out alone. I believe in the power of genuine, human-to-human connection. As your therapist, I aim to be a steady and honest partner in your growth: someone who celebrates your wins, sits with you in the hard moments, and gently challenges you when you're ready. Together, we'll work to help you discover your own inner strength, build self-compassion, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, because neither is your story. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build practical coping skills, psychodynamic therapy to understand how your past shows up in your present, and solution-focused techniques when you need momentum and clarity. I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build self-awareness and create lasting change. What you can expect from our work together is a safe, judgment-free space. I believe in being a real human in the room with a clinical lens, balancing warmth and personality with genuine therapeutic support. Your unique story, values, and goals shape the direction of our work, and I tailor my approach to meet you exactly where you are. My path to becoming a therapist began early. Growing up, I played the role of the fixer, the doer, the "don't need to worry about her" child in my family, because that was where I felt most seen. Those personal experiences gave me a close view of how isolation and shame keep people stuck in familiar but unhealthy loops, and how one safe, honest connection can begin to untangle that. That understanding deepened my commitment to care that is both compassionate and direct, never dismissive. Now, I bring my full, authentic self to each session: curious, collaborative, and unafraid to sit with hard things. Outside of my role as a mental health clinician, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and my cat, Chichi. I also love trying new restaurants, catching movies at different theaters around the city, traveling to the next destination on my ever-growing bucket list, and dabbling in art just for the fun of it.
