My therapeutic approach is grounded in collaboration, with the goal of supporting clients as they grow, explore, and integrate all aspects of their holistic selves in alignment with their personal values and goals. I recognize that life can bring periods of feeling stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns of avoidance, anxiety, and discontentment. In response, I offer a trauma-informed, intermodal framework that incorporates creative and expressive arts therapies alongside evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), somatic techniques, neuroscience, and nutrition-based insights—tailored to each client’s unique needs and interests. Together, we work to build practical skills that foster intentional growth and healing from past experiences, empowering clients to move toward more fulfilling and connected lives.
I’ve worked at a large nonprofit mental health agency providing culturally responsive care to children and adults. I collaborated closely with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams to ensure individualized, effective treatment for each client. This experience strengthened my ability to deliver thoughtful, coordinated care grounded in each person’s unique needs.
Do you find yourself stuck in patterns of procrastination and perfectionism, or at the mercy to your own self critic? Does it feel like you get caught up in moving away from negative experiences instead of moving towards meaningful ones? I am committed to helping my clients face the obstacles that get in the way of leading rich, meaningful lives. As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in treating anxiety-related issues including generalized anxiety, OCD, panic, social anxiety, and phobias. I also help my patients develop effective tools to manage stress, procrastination, perfectionism, problematic eating. I use evidence-based approaches, thoughtfully employed to match your needs, strengths, and temperament. I employ a warm, empathetic, and collaborative approach, and together we’ll work to approach your struggles with curiosity and empowerment. Through the practice of new habits and behaviors, you can bring meaningful change out of the therapy room and into your life. As such, we will work to set meaningful treatment goals, and then collaboratively develop ways to purposefully move towards these goals. Hi & welcome. My college years were a time of great learning and friendship, and also, of significant loss. This led to my own passion of supporting young adults facing challenges and grief during this important life stage. I have extensive experience working with grieving individuals - children, teens, college students, and adults - including after incidents of mass trauma. My practice (CT/NY) also provides support to those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, family and relationship difficulties, academic and career challenges, self-doubt, and stressors due to caregiving. My therapeutic approach is eclectic and results-oriented and incorporates elements of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). I also value the role of creative expression and appreciate how art, play, and narrative therapies impact healing. I value each client as unique and resilient. I offer compassion, warmth, and humor as we collaborate to work towards building on your strengths, increasing your coping skills, and creating the changes you hope to see. We're a team and we got this!
I work mainly with young adults (18-40) who may be dealing with mental health challenges that include ADHD, anxiety and depression. College can be one of the most exciting times in your life: but it can also bring a lot of pressure. Between classes, deadlines, part time jobs, and planning for the future, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trouble concentrating, mood swings, or just not feeling like yourself, you are not alone—and you don’t have to push through it without support. I’m a provider with extensive experience treating adults 18+ across a wide range of mental health conditions. Over the years, I’ve worked in some of New York City’s leading hospitals, including Mount Sinai’s Main Campus, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Queens Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, and Bronx Lebanon Hospital. I’ve provided care in emergency psychiatric settings (CPEP), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and through telepsychiatry—giving me a deep understanding of both urgent and long-term mental health needs. My current focus is medication management, tailored specifically to your unique symptoms and goals. Whether you’re struggling with focus, managing your mood, dealing with panic attacks, or just trying to function under the weight of constant stress, I’ll work with you to find a treatment plan that fits—and actually helps. To make care more accessible, I offer flexible evening and weekend appointments, so your mental health doesn’t have to take a back seat to everything else on your plate. With a South Asian background and fluency in Urdu/Hindi, I deeply understand the cultural stigma and access challenges many patients face. This insight informs my compassionate, individualized, evidence-based approach, especially for complex cases.

College is supposed to be one of the best times of your life, so why does it sometimes feel like the hardest? Maybe you're juggling more than you ever have before - classes, deadlines, relationships, and the pressure to perform academically while somehow also figuring out who you are and where you belong. Maybe the adjustment to college life has been harder than you expected - the homesickness, the new environment, the feeling that everyone else seems to be thriving while you're just trying to keep your head above water. Maybe anxiety has become your constant companion, or stress has made it hard to enjoy the things you used to love. Maybe you're asking bigger questions too - who am I, really? What do I actually want? Where am I headed? - and the pressure to have it all figured out feels overwhelming. Or maybe nothing dramatic has happened, and that almost makes it harder to explain. You just know something feels off, and you're not quite sure where to turn. Here's what I want you to know: you don't have to have it all together to reach out. You don't need a crisis to deserve support. College is one of the most profound transitions of your life - a time of incredible growth, but also real uncertainty, loneliness, and pressure that often goes unseen. I offer warm, collaborative, judgment-free therapy for college students navigating exactly this. Together we can work through anxiety and stress, explore who you are and who you want to become, and help you find your footing - so you can actually show up for your life, not just get through it. You deserve a space that's entirely yours - and finding the right therapist should feel like a good fit, not another stressor. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation - no pressure, no commitment - just a chance to chat, ask questions, and see if this feels right for you. Think of it as a low-stakes first step toward feeling more like yourself again. I'd be honored to be that space. Please reach out anytime. I'm here whenever you're ready.
Many of my clients are young adults, college students, graduate students, and working professionals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, low motivation, self-doubt, or difficulty navigating life transitions. Together, we identify the patterns keeping them stuck, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and confidence in themselves and their future. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress management, motivation, and self-esteem. Drawing from DBT, mindfulness-based practices, and Adlerian therapy, I help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools for everyday life. My goal as a therapist is to create a space where you can exhale, a place where you don’t have to hold everything together. Healing begins with compassion and connection, and real change happens when we feel understood without judgment. I don’t see my clients as diagnoses or problems to be fixed, but as whole people with complex stories.
As a therapist, I strive to create a warm, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted. My identity and experiences have deepened my understanding of the ways culture, family dynamics, systemic barriers, and lived experiences can shape mental health. This perspective allows me to approach therapy with curiosity, humility, and respect for each client's unique story. I work primarily with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, self-worth challenges, life transitions, and stress. I am especially passionate about supporting first-generation individuals, Black and Caribbean communities, Asian Americans, and LGBTQIA+ clients, while welcoming people from all backgrounds. Many of the clients I work with appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, affirming, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe therapy should move at a pace that feels comfortable and sustainable for you. Together, we will explore patterns, process difficult emotions, build coping skills, and develop greater self-understanding. My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, connected to themselves, and empowered to make choices that align with their values and goals.
I have extensive experience counseling individuals from diverse backgrounds and helping them deal with various life issues. With my multicultural training, I am able to empathize and relate to each client so that I may identify their needs and help them with the presenting issues.
On the outside, it might look like you have everything together. You’re responsible, thoughtful, and trying your best to move forward in life. But inside, you may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or constantly second-guessing yourself. Maybe anxiety, overthinking, or self-criticism make it hard to trust your decisions. Many of my clients feel pressure to figure out their careers, relationships, and identity all at once. You may feel lost, burned out, or unsure of your next step, but you’re ready to understand yourself better and start building a life that actually feels right for you. I offer a warm but direct approach that blends CBT and DBT tools to help you manage anxiety, build confidence, and break unhelpful patterns. Therapy with me isn’t just about talking — it’s about learning practical skills to regulate emotions, challenge self-criticism, set boundaries, and move forward with clarity. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you're used to handling everything on your own. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can talk openly, explore what’s holding you back, and begin making meaningful changes. If you're ready to feel more grounded and confident in your life, I’d be happy to connect.
