With over 25 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges, I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs. I especially enjoy working with college-aged clients, helping them navigate academic pressure, career exploration, internship and job-related stress, and major life changes with greater confidence and resilience. My primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is highly effective in treating anxiety, depression, and the stress that often comes with new life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, down-to-earth space where you feel understood, supported, and equipped with practical tools to move forward. Schedule a free 30 minute consult using my online calendar to meet me and determine if we're a good fit.

As a licensed health psychologist, I provide support to the whole person, not one condition, and consider the biological, psychological, and social factors that may enhance or get in the way of your satisfaction in life. I seek to foster a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment so that we can work together to create and implement a plan that leads to fulfillment. While I can assess and diagnose a wide range of conditions through assessment and therapy, I am passionate about supporting you in answering the larger questions, like, "What does this mean for me in my life? How can I make sure that my behavior matches what I value?" My goal is not about feeling better, it's about feeling fulfilled. Let's get started!
Life does not come with an instruction manual (I know, it’s the worst!). But that doesn’t mean you have to give up hope. Sometimes a safe space and a listening ear is all you need to create your own manual. You are unique and so are your challenges. I am here to provide a compassionate, authentic, playful, non-judgmental, safe space and empower you to join me in working through those challenges. I believe that therapy should be all-embracing, genuine and rooted in the therapeutic relationship. I specialize in working with pre-teens, teens, and young adults. I have experience working in a variety of settings including; intensive in-home, school and outpatient. I also have experience with a wide array of emotional and behavioral concerns. I am passionate about working with marginalized, neurodivergent, complex and diverse populations. I believe you are the expert on your own lived experiences, but everyone needs a little guidance sometimes. We were not meant to walk through life alone. So come and join me. No one belongs here more than you!
Hi! I'm Cristina Snipes of Under the Willow Counseling, located in Raleigh, NC. I've been a therapist for about 15 years and really enjoy working with students. I believe that therapy at it's best is done as a team, so my goal is to provide a supportive, relaxed and comfortable environment, while also guiding (and sometimes nudging!) you through the therapeutic process. By offering kind and compassionate care every step of the way, I will ease the daunting process of beginning and continuing individual therapy, hopefully meeting the end goals you're looking for. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I'd be happy to chat over the phone prior to scheduling an appointment. Looking forward to hearing from you!
I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Compassion, warmth, and objectivity are just some of the values I offer to clients I serve. My clients are accepted for who they are while receiving encouragement to become self-aware, grow and thrive within their communities. My goal is to create a safe space for reviving the soul, mind, will, and emotions. I strive to assist clients in rebuilding weakened relationships while also assisting them in their own personal restoration. I also have a passion for working with clients who identify themselves as members of LGBTQ+. System Counseling, as well as Cognitive-Behavioral and Cognitive Restructuring approaches, are blended with Motivational Interviewing techniques to form the basic theoretical foundation of my work with clients. I offer Individual, Couples, and Marriage Counseling, Christian Counseling, Life and Executive Coaching, Consultation, and Clinical supervision. I believe in your ability to find the answers to your life’s dilemmas. I see myself as a facilitator within the therapeutic relationship, providing objective guidance and support, as well as, challenging unhealthy thought processes while creating a warm, accepting, and soothing environment in which to work. Let’s redesign the life you were created to live.

Sometimes things happen that affect the way we see the world, the way we treat people, and the way we think about ourselves. This can happen to anyone. Sometimes, when life knocks you down, it can be tough getting back up. I help people get up. I currently specialize in relationship counseling not limited to intimate partner relationships, but also everyday interactions i.e., working, organizational, non-traditional, casual, mutually beneficial, and structural. I commonly assist with communication which is a major underlying issue found within relationship dysfunction. My preferred methodologies for treatment are Gestalt therapy, Autogenic Training, CBT, Existential Therapy, and grief counseling. My strengths lie in understanding, compassion, mutual respect, and experience. I am able to channel levels of comprehension in the following areas: Abandonment, depression, low self-esteem, jealousy, forgiveness, lack of trust, relationship strain, and everyday challenges. Other areas of proficiency include coping with life changes, communication problems, divorce and separation, emptiness, and intimacy-related issues.
If you feel stuck emotionally, mentally, or in your relationships, you’re not alone. Life transitions, anxiety, depression, past trauma, or daily stress can leave you overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you can unpack challenges, gain clarity, and build coping skills that help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach, blending CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques. In sessions, we’ll explore what’s working for you, challenge unhelpful patterns, and create practical strategies to manage emotions, set realistic goals, and achieve lasting change. Taking the first step can feel hard, but you don’t have to do it alone. If you’re ready to explore healing and growth, I invite you to book a session through my online calendar today. Together, we can work toward clarity, relief, and a stronger sense of self-worth.
If you've found your way here, something in you is already reaching toward healing. That takes courage. And I don't take that lightly. Maybe you're the one everyone else leans on. The one who keeps it together at work, at home, in every room that needs you while quietly wondering when someone is going to show up for you. Maybe you've been carrying the weight of trauma, navigating anxiety or depression, or simply running on empty for so long that you can't quite remember what full felt like. You don't have to keep doing it alone. I'm Alexandria "Alex" Cooke, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and I created this space specifically for high achieving women, women of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, caregivers, and teens 16+ who are ready to stop surviving and start living. I know this world firsthand and I built this practice because I believe the people who spend their lives holding space for others deserve a space of their own. Here, you are not too much. You are not broken. You are not behind. You are a whole person who has been through real things and healing is not only possible for you, it is something you are already moving toward just by being here. No judgment. No pressure. No timeline that isn't yours. You belong here. Let's begin.
I specialize in the treatment of OCD and Anxiety Disorders. Please see my website for additional information about my experience and treatment approach.
I often work with students navigating big changes—adjusting to college life, managing stress, or figuring out who they are and where they fit in. Maybe you’re balancing school with work or family expectations, or feeling pressure to succeed while silently struggling. I offer a supportive, judgment-free space where you can slow down, talk things through, and learn to care for yourself while meeting life’s demands. Together, we can work on easing anxiety, building confidence, and finding balance that feels sustainable.
It is my goal to provide a space where you feel heard, appreciated and inspired. I specialize in assisting those who are experiencing anxiety, depression, isolation, frustration and various life challenges; dysfunction related to family/friends/work/romantic relationships; challenges with relationship building; and individuals with a history of foster care/adoption who want to explore related emotions. What you can expect is an experience tailored to you. I am encouraging, supportive and compassionate.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I work with teens, young adults, and parents navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and growing self awareness. Many clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. I believe each person holds the insight and strength needed for growth, and my role is to be part of your team as you sort through thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we slow down, build understanding, and create meaningful change while strengthening relationships, emotional awareness, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
