Are you overwhelmed with feeling anxious or sad? Having trouble adjusting to recent changes in your life? You’re in the right place. I help college students and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression and life changes to feel more at peace, less worried, and more confident. Your experiences and story matter and I am here to listen. My job is to help you to help yourself. I will help you to explore your own strengths and struggles in a safe, nonjudgmental space. My goal is to be transparent, supportive, and informative while being culturally sensitive and LGBTIA+ affirming. I hold sessions Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm. During the first several sessions, I will help you to identify your goals while reflecting on your personal strengths that have helped you to get you to today. I want you to remember that you have survived every day before this one and that you are resilient. We work towards your goals with a speed that is comfortable for you, checking in on your progress throughout. I incorporate aspects of mindfulness to help you to cope and to heal while providing psychoeducation to help you to better understand your emotions and to gain insight into your experiences. I often give ‘homework’ to help to build new coping skills and to improve communication styles. Everything we will work on will be together, so I will always be transparent and you will always have a voice.

I work with college students by offering a safe and supportive space to talk through the ups and downs of this stage of life. Sometimes we use creative tools to help express feelings, and other times we just focus on conversation. My approach is always collaborative, and I’ll meet you where you’re at—whether that means exploring new ways to cope with stress, building healthier relationships, or simply having a space to sort through what’s on your mind.

Therapy with me is about understanding who you are, where you come from, and honoring what’s alive in you. Our work together is a collaborative unfolding. With a creative, holistic approach, I open the space to move beyond surface problem-solving and into the heart of your story—where healing, growth, and expansion can take root. Think of therapy less as a straight line and more as a spiral: each turn bringing deeper insight, greater clarity, and new ways of being. Together, we’ll create a grounded, compassionate space where your wholeness is remembered and your complexity is celebrated.

At Holistic Psychotherapy NYC, we believe therapy should be a collaborative, meaningful, and deeply human experience. Our diverse team of therapists provides compassionate, evidence-informed care grounded in relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and holistic approaches. We work with college students, young adults, professionals, and individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, identity exploration, life transitions, and academic or career stress. We understand that seeking support can feel vulnerable, especially during times of change. Whether you're adjusting to campus life, managing family expectations, coping with burnout, exploring aspects of your identity, or working through past experiences that continue to affect your present, our therapists strive to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and empowered. Our practice values authenticity, cultural humility, and inclusivity. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, first-generation students, immigrants, and those navigating complex family, cultural, or societal dynamics. We offer both in-person sessions in Midtown Manhattan near Grand Central and telehealth appointments throughout New York. We are in-network with Aetna and Cigna and offer a generous honor-system sliding scale for students and those with other insurance plans. We also provide complimentary consultation calls to help students find the therapist who feels like the right fit. Our goal is not simply symptom reduction, but helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships, and build a life that feels more connected, fulfilling, and aligned with your values.

The LGBTQ+ population from youth to adults navigate the challenges of being ones-self and accessing safe housing, affirming healthcare, integrating into social circles of family and friends, feeling safe to exist in all spaces they enter, challenging the expectations to be the educator of their identities, and even policing themselves for their own safety and other people’s comfort. I will provide a safe space for folks to show up as themselves, identify concretely their goals and aspirations, consider how they can dictate their environment to become their sanctuary, and take small steps towards becoming their most authentic self. I want to support my fellow LGBTQAI+ folks of all varying intersecting identities. I aim to use a strength-based integrative approach including aspects of Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, and Mindfulness-Based interventions to individualize your sessions, externalize your challenges, and help you see your circumstances in different ways. As your therapist, I will allow space for you to elicit exactly what you’re experiencing and what you hope for during therapy and beyond. I want you to leave sessions feeling empowered to continue to invest in yourself, know you have the ability to move beyond your limits, and feel and see that change is possible. I'm ready to be on this journey with you.

Do you often feel the weight of expectations from family, friends, or society, pushing you toward specific paths—like what college to attend or which career to pursue? From the outside, is your life “together” or “on track” but on the inside, you’re struggling with anxiety and self-esteem? If so, you’re not alone. I’m here to help you explore who you are and who you truly want to be. It’s completely normal to experience anxiety, stress, or confusion during this pivotal time in your life. Together, we’ll develop skills to make real change in managing your anxiety, building your self-esteem, and empowering you to embrace your authentic self. Utilizing a blend of Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I guide young people in processing emotions, understanding past experiences, and developing concrete skills to feel more empowered and in control. Let’s be honest, going to therapy can be a little intimidating. I know what you are thinking, “what would speaking to a shrink do for me? I have so much on my mind, it will take more than a few sessions to unleash everything.” Well…I got time AND passion. I believe that as human beings living in our present society, we are conditioned to put our needs aside and we frequently forget how to take care of ourselves. As your therapist, I am strongly devoted to assisting you in tackling life challenges, managing problems, and coming out stronger than ever because YOU are capable. My approach to therapy is to use a strength based perspective, CBT and create an unapologetic space for my client. I want my client to feel they don't need to sugar coat anything in sessions because I truly believe transparency will open up my client's full potential to self-discovery and personal growth. I know taking this next step is scary AND brave. Imagine yourself opening up to possibilities you only dreamt of and finally being in control over your life and happiness. Let's work together to build that dream by tackling those negative thought distortions and create new perspectives in order to create your new reality.

It's getting more and more difficult to resist your compulsions. You're getting upset with yourself for not having enough "willpower." You're having frightening thoughts about yourself and others. Thoughts that scare you or contradict your values and who you are as a person. You experience self-hate every time you give into a compulsion. You're exhausted by your own mental and/or physical compulsions. You struggle to trust yourself and often experience shame surrounding your thoughts. You keep it all to yourself because you fear that others will judge you or betray you. Simultaneously, you need emotional support more than ever. My clinical training includes a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and a master's degree in Clinical Social work from Hunter College. I utilize ERP, the gold standard for OCD, CBT, and solution-focused therapy. I also provide mindfulness tools to help clients increase awareness around behaviors. I work collaboratively with my clients, using my clinical background and their knowledge of self and am grateful to witness them transform into versions of themselves that they never thought were possible. It is a privilege to be allowed into the minds and hearts of my clients. I welcome you to reach out for a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.

I have a particular passion for working with performers, including dancers, actors & other creatives, as well as athletes. I approach therapy from a relational psychodynamic perspective, meaning I help clients understand how past relationships & early experiences shape their current emotional well-being, relationships & sense of self. My commitment to intersectionality, accessibility & autonomy means that I tailor my approach to each individual’s unique identities & desires.
