As a therapist, I will always meet my clients where they are at the moment. My approach to therapy is holistic. I believe that therapy is client-led and my job is to walk with you side-by-side in your journey toward healing and growth. During sessions, I will lead with sensitivity, curiosity, and support. Our initial process will involve getting to know each other and developing a strong foundation of trust and safety. My ideal client is someone who is open to creating a partnership and ready to take on their counseling journey. This individual is ready to dive into some deep work and willing to be honest and is open to trusting a direct therapist to help them navigate life. This individual might not be aware of their issues at this time, but they are open to exploring them and creating goals to become a healthier version of themselves.
Counseling sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. The therapeutic partnership helps cultivate exploration, learning, and growth, which creates a deeper sense of balance. As we learn to make healthier habits part of our lives, we become happier and more fulfilled in other areas. Reiki sessions available as a separate/additional treatment upon request.
Taking the first step to start therapy can be hard, but we are here to help. We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to email or call! All of our clinicians at the Anxiety and Agoraphobia Treatment Center are compassionate and caring, highly-trained psychologists who are experienced using the most effective treatments. We value getting to know you as an individual, so you will get results from a therapist who really understands. We treat the full range of anxiety, including generalized anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, fears and phobias, perfectionism, test anxiety, adjustment to college life, stress and more. We can help with concerns other than anxiety, too. Our psychologists collaboratively partner with you to help meet your personalized treatment goals using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) combined with other modalities when appropriate (supportive therapy, exposure therapy, DBT, ACT, mindfulness). We have immediate availability and offer both in-person or virtual options. We also have daytime, evening and weekend hours to accommodate busy schedules. Our practice is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where all feel accepted.
Many of us wrestle to find hope in our lives, move forward, or just make it through the day. Depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, and loss can take away motivation, causing struggle and suffering. This can change. Perhaps you're determining which life path to take or are dealing with the wounds of past trauma, abuse, or painful experiences. You don't have to carry this weight alone. I provide an unbiased, nonjudgmental space to explore what is hindering you and overcome obstacles in healthy, supportive ways.

Something doesn't feel quite right anymore. Or maybe it never has. You've been feeling anxious, depressed, or had trouble expressing yourself. Maybe you've found yourself having big reactions that don't match the size of the situation. Or maybe you're just not sure what's next in life. I’m here to create a space for you to come exactly as you are now while exploring and moving towards the change you want to see in your life. Together we can help you develop confidence in your unique strengths and values, discover the most effective methods for achieving your goals, and find ways to nurture fulfilling relationships and experiences. I believe that therapy is both an art and a science, best done with a mix of empathy, humor, insight, and resourcefulness. I have experience in a variety of evidence-based practices that can be used to build a customized therapeutic path that works best for you. Together we can work on finding your why and building the skills to establish your how. Whether you're an individual looking for space to process or a couple wanting to enrich your relationship, I'm so glad you found me. I'm honored to hear and be a part of your story. My hope for you is that by reaching out you take a courageous step forward towards cultivating a life that feels truly worth living.
You're exhausted. Not just tired, exhausted. The kind that sleep doesn't touch. You've been holding it together, pushing through, showing up for everyone else. And somewhere along the way, you stopped feeling like yourself. Maybe you've tried therapy before. Read the books, downloaded the apps, done the work. And yet here you are, same patterns, same weight, same wall. That doesn't mean you're broken. It means you haven't found the right fit yet. This is a space where you don't have to perform progress or have the perfect words ready. Just come as you are. About my approach: I use EMDR, Narrative, Emotion-Focused, and attachment-based approaches all grounded in cultural humility. But honestly? My clients usually come in expecting someone serious and clinical. Then they realize I laugh easily, I swear sometimes, and yes, I will absolutely do a mini chair-dance when you hit a milestone. No poker face here. About me: I'm a first-generation Latinx, LGBTQIA+ woman who grew up in a multigenerational household where family, community, and education weren't just values, they were survival. That lived experience shows up in how I work: with warmth, cultural humility, and full presence.
*Due to the current Covid-19 crises, my practice is set up to see patients thru video conference calling which is HIPPA compliant for privacy. I believe that individual therapy is the bedrock of mental health change especially for personal issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship self esteem and emotional problems of living. Counseling with your therapist needs to be collaborative where clients sort out thoughts and feelings in order to get a better understanding of who they are. Counseling is completely different from person to person. One client may want more advice or suggestions. Another might want mostly to vent and to be heard. Still others may need to be challenged or confronted. In general, though, most therapists believe that counseling helps us understand thoughts and feelings about ourselves that we have not previously fully recognized. Sigmund Freud referred to this process as making that which is unconscious conscious. I trust that clients know deep down what should be talked about in therapy and that they mostly need help knowing how to access these thoughts and feelings in order to realize what it is they want and need from others and their lives. My approach is eclectic or integrative, but I use many behavioral and cognitive-behavioral approaches in my work. I am particularly interested in evidenced-based and best practices approaches to treatment and so I continually challenge myself to learn newly refined techniques and approaches and provide each patient with the best of my learning over 30 years of practice in multiple settings. I am humanistic and client centered as well and and have found that it often helps patients to know that their therapist is a regular, genuine and authentic individual who is dedicated to my profession and feels that much can be learned from the relationship of therapy. Many clients come to a therapist’s office because they are struggling in their relationships. Paying attention to how your relationship develops in the office can help you understand how really important social interactions in your life outside of the therapeutic relationship actually work.
Psychotherapy that helps to bring about transformation will offer insights into the deeper motivations that lie outside of our conscious awareness in everyday encounters. Circle Counseling seeks to provide, through the therapeutic relationships formed between our clients and counselors, the opportunity for the client to risk new ways of relating and being in the world. Each client comes with unique strengths and unique hurts that, when fully explored, will bring to light new, more healthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world. The truth about ourselves is sometimes hard to see, hard to understand, and hard to admit, but in therapy these hard realities can be looked at within the safety of a caring, professional relationship. Let the truth set you free in new ways. Deepen your spirit and find new joy. We have 15 therapists ready to provide services.
