When life feels like it’s spinning faster than you can keep up, it’s natural to feel stressed, stuck, or emotionally drained. Maybe you're waking up each day already exhausted, dreading what’s next. Life can start to feel like a relentless cycle of stress, disappointment, and emotional burnout. You might be wondering: Where do I even start? Who can I talk to that will truly understand? If this sounds like you, please know—you are not alone. As a therapist with over a decade of experience, I’ve supported individuals through some of life’s toughest moments. My clients often come to me feeling lost, disconnected, or simply tired of pretending everything’s fine. What they need most is a safe, nonjudgmental space to speak freely and be heard. That’s where our work begins. I create a space where you can be your authentic self—no masks, no pressure. I listen deeply and ask thoughtful questions to help you explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Together, we’ll uncover patterns, process emotions, and tap into tools that help you feel grounded, capable, and hopeful again. You deserve peace, joy, and a life you love. I offer a FREE 15 minute one time consultation. I have openings, book today.
I believe growth is deeply personal—and that positive expectations, paired with support and willingness, are powerful tools for transformation. If you're looking for a safe, judgment-free space, you’re in the right place. I'm here to support, motivate, and provide compassionate guidance as you engage in the process of self-discovery.
My approach as a therapist is simple- I'm here to help you recognize the parts of yourself that you're proud of and change the parts you want to be different. Trust me, there is no problem too big or too small to bring to therapy! My clients have usually included people who have been marginalized by socio-economic barriers, people who have experienced trauma, and those with autism or other types of neurodivergence, or developmental disabilities. Since these issues can make life especially tough in new and different ways during college and the transition to adulthood, I've found that this stage of life can be the perfect time to seek out some help. Although I have a lot of experience working with ages 12-18, I'm also passionate about providing therapy to adults throughout the lifespan. I believe that a comfortable working relationship between you and your therapist is so important for you to fully access your resilience to heal and be empowered to achieve your goals. I'll always encourage you to give me honest feedback to ensure that sessions are supportive and meet your specific needs. Sessions with me will always be judgement free zones where authenticity and vulnerability are highly valued. Whether that sounds well within or far outside your comfort zone, I'd love to meet to answer any questions you have and to see if we might be a good fit. It is my goal to work collaboratively with you to improve your quality of life, all while discovering your authentic self, and achieving greater daily satisfaction. I believe that developing insight and self-awareness are essential components of therapy. My goal is to not only create a safe therapeutic atmosphere where change and growth can occur, but to help you develop the skills and solutions that will impact how you relate to others and the world around you. I strongly believe that change, healing, and growth are attainable, but I also recognize how difficult it can be to move forward when struggling with problems alone. In my practice, I view myself as a ‘fellow traveler’ on your path towards balance and wholeness. It is my overall aim to help you build a “tool box” of skills that will enable you to cope more effectively when faced with challenges or adversity. In addition to the individual work I do with adults, I am passionate and skilled in working with adolescents, and Special Needs Parents as well. I have training and experience in helping individuals cope and heal from a variety of issues including trauma/abuse, anxiety, or life transitions. I also specialize in providing a safe therapeutic space for individuals who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color).
College can be exciting, overwhelming, and everything in between. It’s a time of big changes, big questions, and a lot of pressure—about who you are, where you belong, and whether you’re doing “enough.” I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, body image struggles, perfectionism, and that nagging feeling of not measuring up, even when everything seems fine on the outside. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, or just off, therapy can be a space to slow down and figure out what’s really going on. Together, we’ll explore what matters to you and what helps you feel more like you. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re on campus or away, we’ll work together to help you feel more confident, grounded, and connected—both to yourself and the life you’re building.
I've been a helping professional now for over twenty yrs. My career began as a Licensed Vocational Nurse/LVN working with those affected by physical health conditions. Additionally, my counseling background includes providing individual & group therapy to those impacted by suicidal ideation/thoughts, PTSD, mood disorders, grief and more. Nonetheless, we want to meet you where you are in your mental health journey. Also, we specialize in helping those impacted mentally by the emotional toll of physical illness. And we also offer supportive counseling to their caregivers.
Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).

Hi, I’m Ashley (she/her)! I’m a licensed professional counselor with licenses in Mississippi and Texas. I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with my bachelor’s in psychology in 2017 and my master’s in counseling psychology in 2020. I’ve worked in different settings including telehealth, homes, schools, and an acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors to expand your self-understanding. That allows us to develop healthier patterns and learn effective coping skills to help create lasting, positive change in a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your safety, growth, and autonomy are prioritized. I have experience supporting clients as they navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, dysfunctional patterns, and life transitions. I provide gender-affirming, LGBTQ+ inclusive, culturally sensitive, person-centered therapy. I believe that each person that comes into this space deserves a treatment approach that is tailored to their unique needs and experiences. To help ensure that, I integrate key parts of various evidence-based treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), strengths-based therapy, and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) to best meet your needs. I encourage and welcome transparent feedback so we can adjust our approach as needed. There is never a time that it’s too late to do something different or to start something new. Progress takes time, and it’s normal to have ups and downs while still making progress. My goal is to support you through your healing journey and help you become the version of you that you like best. “No matter how many mistakes you make or how slow you progress, you are still way ahead of everyone who hasn’t started.” Every day, we make a choice, to continue living in comfortable misery or to take even the smallest step toward being uncomfortably happier; but first, you must choose you.
Kirsten works with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, neurodivergence, and other emotional difficulties. She is passionate about creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore their experiences, and move toward meaningful healing and growth. Her therapeutic approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based while integrating CBT, DBT, and her EMDR training when clinically appropriate. Kirsten believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and tailors treatment to each client's unique goals, experiences, and values. She is committed to creating an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients of all backgrounds feel respected and supported.
While working in healthcare for the past 25 years, I have experienced the value of human connection between caregiver and patient in various roles and settings. Every individual I have provided care for has their own story, a unique set of experiences that has shaped them. Understanding these individual differences helps establish individual plans of care. Upon establishing a therapeutic relationship with my clients, I strive to learn their stories and help them overcome their struggles. I aim to help clients find meaning and purpose, improve their quality of life, and achieve contentment. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I can prescribe medications and provide talk therapy to help treat psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, sleep disorders, and psychotic disorders. I have named my clinic after “eudaimonia,” which means ‘good spirit’ and is translated from Greek simply as ‘happiness.’ Eudaimonia is described as the condition of human flourishing, and this philosophy of finding meaning and purpose guides the care provided at Eudaimonia Psychiatric Mental Health Clinic.
As an LMFT, I focus on seeing women with anxiety by helping them feel more independent, develop their self confidence, set new boundaries with family, and bring new joy and peace back into their daily lives. I also help clients that are struggling with major life changes (starting college, infertility, pregnancy), LGBTQ+ clients, and those who are looking for some extra support to feel safe and empowered. I often utilize a mix of CBT, Attachment, and Neurobiology to help you learn new ways of coping that can be utilized for a lifetime.
My ideal client is someone who has experienced acute mental health challenges, or may be new in their therapeutic journey altogether, and is ready to move toward stability and growth. They may struggle with severe mood disorders, trauma, substance use, or daily life struggles, and feel discouraged by systems which have not met their needs. They want to understand themselves and their challenges better, build skills to improve self-sufficiency, and create a meaningful, prosperous life with sustainable supports in the community. I specialize in trauma-informed, ethical, and client-centered care grounded in inpatient mental health experience. I help clients develop insight, accountability, and practical skills to manage symptoms, strengthen resiliency, and transition successfully into community sustained living while prioritizing safety, dignity, and long-term stabilization. You do not have to navigate your healing journey alone. If you are ready to move forward and build hope for your future, I invite you to take the next step. Together, we can create a supportive, realistic path towards growth, empowerment, and lasting change.
